  3.      Upon installation, extwav.exe and inswav.exe will be 
  4.      copied to your GP2\SOUND directory ('c:\gp2\sound')
  5.

  7.      Working on the file sample.cat in the sound directory,
  8.      I found that it's made of 100 .wav files packed one 
  9.      after the other, just with a small header before of
  10.      each. So I wrote a program to extract those 100 files
  11.      in standard .wav format. And I write another program to
  12.      insert a .wav file in the sample.cat. In this way You
  13.      will be able to listen all the sounds of the game, there
  14.      are many that you never be able to listen at, e.g. the
  15.      radio messages from the pits in many languages and 
  16.      modify it for play with your own engine's sound. Well,
  17.      now a brief explanation of how to run these two small
  18.      programs.

  21.      Extract
  22.      The extract program is called extwav.exe . First copy
  23.      the sample.cat file in a directory of your own, together
  24.      with the extwav program. Then run it (no parameters are
  25.      needed), in a while you will have 100 .wav files named 
  26.      sound0.wav until sound99.wav.

  29.      Inserting
  30.      To insert a file use the inswav.exe program.
  31.      Put this program in the directory with the sample.cat
  32.      and the soundXX.wav files, al the files are needed form
  33.      0 to 99. Start inswav, now, Your sample.cat is modified
  34.      and ready to play by gp2 program as soon as you will put
  35.      it in the sound directory. This version of the program
  36.      can change the size of the sample.cat file. Take care to
  37.      use the same kind of sound, 22/11 Khz mono 8 bit of the
  38.      original sound.
